Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-07-05 · Last updated: 2026-08-24

NONOKING.com (the "Site") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the Site handles, how advertising, cookies and affiliate links are used, and what choices you have as a visitor. The Korean version of this policy is available at /privacy; if the two versions ever differ, the Korean version prevails.

This policy also covers the mobile apps we publish through Google Play and other app stores (the "Apps"). Matters that apply only to the Apps are set out in Section 2-2. The Site and the Apps handle different information, so App users should read Section 2-2 in full.

1. We do not collect personal information

The Site has no sign-up or membership feature and does not collect or store personal information such as your name, contact details, email address or government ID numbers. The Site is a read-only blog — you never need to enter any information to read our articles, and we do not offer comments or any other feature that would require personal data. (Two exceptions are described below: leaderboard entries you submit yourself — Section 2-1 — and the advertising identifier used by the Apps — Section 2-2.)

2. Browser storage (localStorage)

For convenience, the Site stores a small number of settings only in your own browser (localStorage):

These values are never sent to a server, and you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser's site data (cookies and site storage).

2-1. Game leaderboards (nickname and score)

Some of our browser games offer an optional leaderboard. Only if you choose to submit a score under a nickname do the following leave your device: (1) the nickname (up to 12 characters), (2) the score, (3) a randomly generated identifier (a UUID stored on your device that does not identify you personally), and (4) the date. Nickname, score and date are shown publicly on the leaderboard; the random identifier is never shown and is used only to prevent duplicate submissions. We keep the top 200 entries; daily boards are deleted automatically after 30 days. If you do not submit a score, nothing is sent to any server and your game progress stays in your own browser only. To have an entry removed, email us (Section 11) with the nickname and the game.

2-2. Mobile apps (Google Play)

We publish some of our games as mobile apps (for example, Dokkaebi Night Market). The entire game is installed on your device and plays without an internet connection. The Apps do not collect personal information and have no sign-up — no name, contact details, email, location, contacts or photos. The following is the complete list of what an App handles:

To opt out of personalised ads, open Android Settings → Privacy → Ads and delete your advertising ID or turn off ad personalisation. The App keeps working normally; you will simply see non-personalised ads instead.

3. Visitor statistics (Cloudflare Web Analytics)

To understand which articles are read most, the Site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies and only provides aggregated, non-identifying statistics (page views, country, browser type, etc.). No names, contact details or other personal information are included.

4. Access logs and security

The Site is served through Cloudflare, a content delivery network, for stability and security. In the process, access records (IP address, access time, browser type, etc.) may be processed and logged automatically for service delivery, abuse prevention and incident response. These records are used only for security and operations, and their handling follows the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

5. Advertising and cookies (Google AdSense · Google AdMob)

To keep the Site free we display Google AdSense ads, and the Apps display Google AdMob ads. Google and other third-party ad vendors may use cookies or advertising identifiers in this process.

In the Apps (AdMob) an advertising identifier is used instead of cookies, and ads appear only when you actively choose them (for example “watch an ad to revive”) or at defined breaks. For what Google processes through AdMob, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

The Site operator does not directly access or separately store any information collected by ad vendors through cookies.

6. Affiliate links and commission disclosure

Some articles may contain affiliate links, including Coupang Partners. If you make a purchase through such a link, the Site may earn a small commission. This never affects the price you pay.

7. Managing cookies — your choices

You can refuse or delete cookies at any time.

8. Overseas processing

Google (AdSense and AdMob advertising, Google Play distribution) and Cloudflare (infrastructure, analytics and the leaderboard server) operate servers outside Korea, so the advertising-cookie data, the Apps’ advertising identifier, leaderboard entries and access logs described above may be processed and stored overseas. Such processing follows each provider’s privacy policy and applicable laws.

9. Children's privacy

The Site and the Apps are not primarily directed at children under 14 and do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Apps are declared in app stores as not primarily child-directed. We recommend that children use them under a guardian’s supervision.

10. External links

Articles may link to external sites such as news sources, official documentation or affiliate products. Once you leave the Site, the destination site's own privacy policy applies — please review it there.

11. How long information is kept

The Site does not hold information that identifies you, so no retention period arises for personal data. The following operational records do persist for a time:

12. Deletion

Records are destroyed without delay once the retention period has passed or the purpose has ended. Electronic records are permanently deleted in a way that cannot be recovered; we handle no paper records. The records in Section 11 are deleted automatically when their period elapses, without you having to ask. If you ask us to remove a leaderboard entry, we delete it as soon as we have checked it.

13. Security measures

14. Your rights and who is responsible

You may at any time ask to access, correct, delete, or stop the processing of information about you. Write to the address below and we will check and act without delay, then tell you the outcome. In particular, to remove a leaderboard nickname and score, just tell us the nickname and the game.

The person responsible for personal-data matters and for handling enquiries and complaints is:

Questions about this policy, privacy requests, and advertising or partnership enquiries all go to the same address. We usually reply within 1–3 business days.

15. Complaints to a regulator

The Site is operated from the Republic of Korea. If you would rather raise a privacy complaint with a regulator, these bodies are independent of this Site:

If you are in the EEA or the UK, you may also complain to your national data-protection authority.

16. Changes to this policy

This policy may be revised to reflect changes in law or in the service. Updates will be posted on this page with their effective date, and we will endeavor to give notice in advance of any material change.
